Linux is an operating system just like Windows with a BIG twist. Companies big and small are turning to this open source, cost effective, highly secure and stable environment to do day to day operations. Google, amazon, yahoo are just a few companies that depend entirely on Linux to run their servers. That's why there is vast untapped market of Linux professionals. Companies are hungry for more.

It is an effort to generate awareness about Linux and improve dexterity in its handling. We shall have discussion sessions where we can share our experiences with Linux so that others may benefit and learn to code using Linux. We shall take up various projects on Linux and make a collective effort towards their completion. In short, we shall have lots of fun, but techy-fun.

In keeping with the Linux traditio
n, participation is absolutely free. All students interested to join please contact Prof. Ritabari Roychowdhury,  Sparsa Roychowdhury (IT,3rd year), Soumyadip Sarbajna (CSE,3rd Year), Sayan Ganguly (IT,3rd Year), Abhisek De (IT,2nd Year)
